01 / LA BÊTISE

Then and now

A place made for coming together.

Our story

It all began in 2010 on Saint-Hubert Street, in the heart of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie. Four friends shared one idea: create a place where people could gather over good food and good drinks, without pretension.

That’s how La Bêtise was born — from friendship, a neighbourhood and the simple joy of welcoming people. Over the years, the addresses changed, the teams grew and the memories multiplied. But the essentials stayed the same: generous food, a lively atmosphere and the feeling that you’re a little bit at home.

Today, La Bêtise Verdun carries that story forward on Wellington Street. A neighbourhood restaurant where people come to eat, celebrate, laugh and sometimes stay longer than planned.

Our mission

To create moments that bring people together around generous food, well-made cocktails and genuine service. To offer an accessible, warm and unpretentious experience where every visit can become a great story.

Our vision

To keep the spirit of today’s neighbourhood restaurant alive: rooted in its community, open to the world and driven by the joy of welcoming people well. To keep evolving without losing what has defined La Bêtise since day one — friendship, sharing and a taste for celebration.
